위 집단은 사림이다.

사림은 정치 세력이면서도 학파적 성격을 동시에 가진다.

사림 - 척신 정치의 잔재 청산을고 분화됨.

동인: 김효원중심, 신진사림 지지, 이황, 조식, 서경덕

서인: 심의겸중심, 기성사림 지지, 이이, 성혼

기성 사림: 명종 이후 정권 참여온 사림, 척신 정치 개혁에 소극적

신진 사림: 새롭게 등장, 원칙적이며 사림 정치의 실현 주장

동인 - 정여립 모반 사건

남인: 온건파

북인: 급진파

광해군

북인 - 광해군의 세자 책봉에 주도, 도움

대북: 광해군을 도와줌.

소북:

서인 - 남인에대한 입장

노론: 송시열, 대의 명분, 민생 안정

소론: 윤증, 실리, 적극적 북방 계혁
